Racial Realities in Jena

If you have not yet heard about the racial atrocities occurring in Jena, Louisiana then I will attempt to bring you up to speed. If you are unaware that racism is a harsh reality experienced by African Americans all across the United Snakes of America than you are probably living in a bubble, under a rock at the bottom of the ocean. That statement might sound curt but not nearly as severe as the hundreds of years of unmerciful and unceasing racial tensions that have been evidenced by the recent occurrences in small town Jena. After enduring racial slurs, six Black high school students beat up their white classmate. Would it surprise you to know that those six were then charged with attempted murder?! To add insult to injury, just a short time before that, three white boys hung a noose on a so-called white tree after a Black boy sat underneath it. What happened? Nothing. Many just called it a prank. Other rational thinkers called it a hate crime.
